UFC chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta joined Fox Sports Live on Tuesday to explain the UFC 176 cancellation, where he noted that featherweight champion Jose Aldo has a neck/shoulder injury that will keep him from training for around three weeks.
With such a short amount of down time, although it was enough to force the cancellation of UFC 176, the UFC still plans for Aldo to defend his belt against Chad Mendes, and is now targeting a possible date in October.
