Less than 24 hours after word hit the street, Court McGee’s vacant slot at UFC 131: Lesnar vs. dos Santos has been filled.

After a knee injury sidelined the former “Ultimate Fighter” winner, Matt Serra student Chris Weidman has once again stepped up on short notice and will face Jesse Bongfeldt on the June 11 fight card in Vancouver.

The UFC made the official switch on Tuesday.

Weidman stepped up once before for his UFC debut in March, dispatching of Alessio Sakara at UFC on Versus 3 in Louisville, Ky.

At 5-0, Weidman will look to keep his record perfect when he faces Bongfeldt in a preliminary fight on the June card.
