Video: Marshall-Cooper, Khasbulaev-Richman win finals slots at Bellator 92

Thursday night’s Bellator 92 event saw four fighters advance to tournament finals in both the featherweight and middleweight divisions.

The four tourney semifinals made up the main card of the event at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif.

In the Spike TV headliner, Magomedrasul Khasbulaev (20-5 MMA, 4-0 BFC) survived a first-round low blow from Marlon Sandro (24-5 MMA, 7-3 BFC) to mostly dominate the fight and win with a third-round TKO stoppage to move on to the featherweight finals. There, he’ll meet Mike “The Marine” Richman (15-2 MMA, 4-1 BFC) , who got past Alexandre “Popo” Bezerra (15-3 MMA, 7-2 BFC) to open the telecast with a split decision.

Also on the card, Brett Cooper (19-7 MMA, 6-2 BFC) was not having a good go of things against Dan Cramer (10-4 MMA, 7-2 BFC) for the first 10 minutes, and likely needing a stoppage in the third to move on, he got it with a big uppercut to end the fight. He then watched Doug Marshall (17-6 MMA, 3-0 CFC) struggle with Sultan Aliev (9-1 MMA, 1-1 BFC), but ultimate move on with a split decision.
