TUF 19 Finale bonuses: Issa wins $100,000, Tuerxun, Martins get $50,000

LAS VEGAS – Leandro Issa, Jumabieke Tuerxun and Adriano Martins each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Sunday’s TUF 19 Finale event, and Issa doubled up for a total of $100,000.

Issa and Tuerxun earned “Fight of the Night” honors, while Issa and Martins each won “Performance of the Night” bonuses.

UFC President Dana White announced the winners at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended.

The TUF 19 Finale took place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The main card aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Issa (12-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Tuerxun (14-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) battled into the third round, with Tuerxun seeming to get the better of things – until Issa was able to pull off an armbar submission deep in the fight.

Martins (26-7 MMA, 2-1 UFC) took a kick to the groin from Juan Manuel Puig (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the first round, but after he had his breather, he made it count when he landed a one-punch knockout.
