Not surprisingly, as the UFC 138 fight card fleshes out, the number of Brits that will see action in Birmingham, England, continues to grow.
The UFC on Thursday confirmed bouts for two homegrown commodities in Terry Etim and Mark Scanlon.
Etim (14-3), coming off of a loss to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 112 last year in Abu Dhabi, will see action in a lightweight contest with Hawaiian Edward Faaloloto (2-2). Etim was sidelined for more than a year with injuries, including a broken rib.
Faaloloto will hope to take advantage of any ring rust that Etim might have, as he has lost both of his fights under the Zuffa banner, to Anthony Njokuani at WEC 52 and Michael Johnson at UFC on Versus 4. Faaloloto will be fighting for a chance to remain in the Octagon.
Scanlon (7-1) and his welterweight opponent, James Head (7-2), are both coming off losses in their most recent bouts. Scanlon dropped a unanimous decision to Pascal Krauss at UFC 122 last November, while Head was submitted by Nick Ring at UFC 131 in June.
Top 10 middleweights Chris Leben and Mark Munoz headline UFC 138 on Nov. 5 at LG Arena in Birmingham.
