Did Bethe Correia cross a line with her trash-talk of upcoming opponent and UFC champion Ronda Rousey? Is there a line?
That’s the question we posed to some of their fellow fighters, who have varying opinions.
As a refresher, Correia (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who meets Rousey (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in UFC 190’s pay-per-view headliner on Aug. 1, created a stir when she suggested the champion shouldn’t kill herself if he she loses her belt in their upcoming fight.
Rousey, whose father committed suicide when she was 8, suggested the topic “is no joke or selling point.” Correia said she was unaware of Rousey’s father and apologized for her remarks:
Was Correia wrong to make the comments? Was she wrong to apologize?
