UFC Fight Night 33 Results: Ryan Bader Dominates Anthony Perosh

Ryan Bader vs Anthony PeroshRyan Bader beat Anthony Perosh in a one-sided affair, earning a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 33 on Friday night.

Bader dominated Perosh from end to end at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia, garnering judges’ scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 30-26.

“We have a good team around us,” Bader said in his post-fight interview with Jon Anik. “We got it done. We worked on what we needed to work on and I stayed patient. I didn’t get the knockout, but I got the fight.”

Bader overwhelmed his opponent early in the match-up, landing several power shots that shook Perosh. After taking a number of strikes, Perosh fell to the ground where his opponent landed more strikes from top position. The two briefly returned to the feet, but Bader grounded Perosh again and finished the round with effective ground and pound.

Perosh attempted moving forward while throwing punches as the second round began, but was taken down again. Bader remained in top position and rained blows on Perosh, transitioning to several positions while doing so. The round finished with Perosh once again on his back.

Bader continued his dominance of Perosh in the third round, bringing the fight to the ground soon after the frame began. Perosh continued to absorb strikes as blood poured from his mouth and face all the way through the end of the round, opening the way for the judges’ decision.

Bader won his ninth career UFC fight, improving to 16-4 overall. Perosh drops to 14-8.
