LAS VEGAS – It was a stellar return for Cat Zingano, even though it came with a first-round bump in the road.
Zingano (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) was in big trouble against Amanda Nunes (9-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in the first round, eating a bunch of heavy punches on the ground. But she survived to see the second round, where she turned things around. And in the third, she kept it rolling to get a TKO win – and a title shot against women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
Check out the video highlights above of the fight, which took place at UFC 178 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
