VANCOUVER – It wasn’t very pretty, and in the end Brendan Schaub looked a wreck. But he certainly thought he had done enough.
Instead, it was former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (22-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) who took a quickly controversial split decision from Schaub (10-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) – and from the look on Arlovski’s face, even he may have been surprised with the win.
Both fighters landed some decent punches, and in the end, Schaub’s face looked much worse for the wear. But it was his top control that looked to be winning him the fight. That wasn’t the case.
Check out the highlights above from the fight, which aired on pay-per-view from Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
