Diego Sanchez apparently didn’t care for the table-top advertisement at his local watering hole.

The veteran UFC lightweight, who’s previously tangled with outspoken featherweight contender Conor McGregor on social media, recently posted the above image, void of comment (via Twitter):

Then again, a knife to the face pretty much speaks for itself.

The ad, of course, is promoting Sunday’s big UFC Fight Night 59 event. McGregor (16-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC), the fast-rising 145-pounder contender who’s a win away from a title shot, gets his first headlining gig as he meets Dennis Siver (22-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC) at Sunday’s FOX Sports 1-televised UFC Fight Night 59 event at Boston’s TD Garden.

Well before his current run, McGregor welcomed a fight with Sanchez and said he’d go all the way up to welterweight to fight him. It never happened, of course, but the bad blood obviously continues.

Did Sanchez cross a line with the cardboard shanking? Was it simply sour grapes? Some Twitter users had their theories:
