A flyweight showdown between John Moraga and Justin Scoggins will kick off the main card when the UFC heads to Connecticut on Sept. 5.

The promotion announced on Saturday that the flyweights have verbally agreed to square off at UFC Fight Night “Mousasi vs. Jacare 2” at the Foxwoods Casino Resort in Ledyard, Conn. In addition to a middleweight headliner pitting Gegard Mousasi against Ronaldo Souza, the lineup also features a heavyweight clash between Alistair Overeem and Ben Rothwell.

In addition to Moraga-Scoggins, the UFC also recently announced that a bantamweight tilt between Dustin Kimura and Ian Entwistle has been added to the Sept. 5 card.

A former flyweight title challenger, Moraga last appeared at UFC Fight Night Albuquerque, where he lost a rematch to John Dodson via doctor stoppage after two rounds. The 30-year-old Arizona is 3-2 during his Octagon tenure, with triumphs over Ulysses Gomez, Chris Cariaso and Dustin Ortiz.

Scoggins, 22, suffered his first loss of his career on July 6, dropping a split verdict to Dustin Ortiz at “The Ultimate Fighter 19” finale. The American Top Team representative debuted in the Octagon with a first round stoppage of Richie Vaculik in December before outpointing Will Campuzano at UFC 171 in March.
