Damacio Page vs. Matt Schnell title fight headlines Legacy FC 52

A flyweight title fight will headline March’s Legacy FC 52 event in Louisiana.

Reigning champ Damacio Page (19-10) puts his belt on the line against challenger Matt Schnell (8-2), officials recently announced.

Legacy FC 52 takes place March 25 at Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Lake Charles, La., and the main card airs on AXS TV.

Page, a UFC and WEC fighter, had won three consecutive Legacy FC fights, including a title win over Brian Hall in a performance that earned an MMAjunkie “Knockout of the Month” award (watch it above). However, in a champion-vs.-champion fight at the co-promoted Legacy FC vs. RFA event this past year, he suffered a submission loss to Alexandre Pantoja.

He looks to rebound against Schnell, who’s come a long way since his time on the MTV docu-drama series “Caged” in 2012. The 26-year-old is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, with his past two wins coming under the Legacy FC banner. Four of those wins have come via stoppage, and the most recent was a disqualification win (due to an illegal knee) over Jonathon Martinez (7-0 at the time).
