Cat Zingano vs. Marion Reneau Heads Trio of Bouts Added to UFC Event in Boise, Idaho

A women’s bantamweight bout between Cat Zingano and Marion Reneau heads a trio of bouts added to the UFC Fight Night 133 card slated for July 14 in Boise, Idaho.

Zingano (9-3) returned from more than a year-and-a-half on the sidelines earlier this year. Unfortunately, she lost a split decision to Ketlen Veira at UFC 222 on March 3, which was Zingano’s third consecutive loss, a streak that also includes losses to Julianna Pena and Ronda Rousey.

Marion ReneauShe has no easy road back to victory, however, as Reneau (9-3-1) is 3-0-1 in her last four fights and is coming off of back-to-back wins over Sara McMann and Talita Bernardo. A victory over Zingano would launch Reneau up the rankings and make her a viable contender for the belt currently wrapped around Amanda Nunes’ waist.

Liz Carmouche (11-6), who suffered a defeat to Alexis Davis in her flyweight debut in December, will continue to forge her path at 125 pounds when she faces former Invicta FC flyweight champion Jennifer Maia (15-4-1). Maia will be making her Octagon debut in Boise.

The third bout announced by UFC officials on Friday includes Said Nurmagomedov (11-1), the cousin of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who will also be making his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 133. He squares off against UFC veteran Justin Scoggins (11-4) in a flyweight bout.
