Zuffa suing Dream Stage Entertainment

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting the following:

Pride FC Worldwide Holdings (basically the dummy company set up by UFC after the Pride purchase) have filed a lawsuit against Dream Stage Entertainment, Dream Stage Holdings and Nobuyuki Sakakibara claiming they were defrauded millions of dollars in the purchase of the Pride and Pride Bushido brands.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but does this mean if the case goes before a judge that some very telling details about the PRIDE buyout could become public?

Man, it must be a great time to be a lawyer at Zuffa. Dana White needs to start giving his attorneys post-case bonuses just like the post-fight bonuses he gives out to the fighters.

I’m thinking of starting a lawsuit pool where you bet on who the next fighter or company is to get sued by the UFC. I don’t know whether to put my money on Tito Ortiz or Andrei Arlovski?

I’m sorry for the cynicism, because the bottom line is that Zuffa may very well in fact have been screwed over by PRIDE. We’ll have to wait and see.
