UFC and Strikeforce vet Paul Daley (31-12-2) has received clearance from Bellator and will continue his world tour in May when he takes on fellow welterweight Rodrigo Ribeiro (9-10) at Dubai Fighting Championship 4, officials recently announced.
The event takes place May 10 at Madinat Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Daley vs. Ribeiro serves as the headliner of the show.
Daley most recently earned a vicious flying-knee knockout of Patrick Vallee at Cage Contender XVI in Dublin, which followed a Bellator 72 TKO win over Rudy Bears. The English striker is now on a 4-1 run since a pair of 2011 losses in Strikeforce.
Daley is expected to return to Bellator later this year.
But first he takes on Ribeiro, a recent ONE FC competitor who looks to snap out of a 1-4 skid. The Brazilian submission specialist most recently suffered a TKO loss to Phil Baroni at ONE FC 5.
Also set for the card are welterweights Mounir Lazzez (2-0) vs. Tony Michielsen (1-1) and lightweights Nilson Lopez (5-5) vs. Hubert Geven (1-0).
