Why do criminals keep targeting UFC fighter Gegard Mousasi?

UFC fighter Gegard Mousasi can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to hanging on to his belongings.

The veteran fighter, who co-headlines UFC on FOX 14 in early 2015, has again been a target of criminals.

In early 2013, the 29-year-old Dutchman complained that his apartment had been robbed by some “punk-ass thief” who made off with his loot (via Twitter):

Now, the poor guy had his wheels lifted, as well. Earlier today, Mousasi, posing with a rental car, said someone stole his ride. Understandably, he was angered but said he actually lives in a decent neighborhood (via Twitter):

Although certainly a pre-fight distraction, Mousasi still has plenty of time to get mentally prepared for his next bout. On Jan. 24 at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Mousasi (35-5-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) welcomes fellow vet Dan Henderson (30-12 MMA, 7-6 UFC) back to the middleweight division in UFC on FOX 14’s network-televised co-headliner.

Mousasi is ranked No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA middleweight rankings, and Henderson is ranked No. 9 at light heavyweight. The winner of their bout should get a nice boost in a wide-open 185-pound UFC title picture.
