What really mattered at UFC Fight Night 81: Cruz-Dillashaw scores, Mitrione's eye

If you missed Sunday’s UFC event, which marked the organization’s first title fight on FOX Sports 1, check out what really mattered at UFC Fight Night 81.

In the headliner at Boston’s TD Garden, Dominick Cruz (21-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) rebounded from a series of injuries and reclaimed the bantamweight belt with a victory over T.J. Dillashaw (12-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC). However, it was an extremely close bout, and not everyone agreed with the decision.

And though Eddie Alvarez (27-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) edged fellow lightweight contender Anthony Pettis (18-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) by the slimmest of margins, the other main-card bout getting attention is a heavyweight scrap that saw Travis Browne (18-3-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC) earn a controversial TKO win over Matt Mitrione (9-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC), who suffered a nasty eye injury.

Other fighters making some noise? Patrick Cote, Ed Herman, Luke Sanders, Paul Felder, Ilir Latifi, Chris Wade, Charles Rosa and Rob Font.
