Tim Kennedy Responds to ISIS Threat: ‘They’re Feeble Children’

It was confirmed on Wednesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigations was looking into ISIS terror threats made against UFC middleweight contender Tim Kennedy. The Green Beret sniper recently spoke with Inside MMA about the threat.

“They don’t like me, or anything about me, anything I like, or anything I stand for. They’re gutless cowards. They’re impotent, feeble little children. I may be poking the bear a little bit; I won’t even call them a bear. I’m poking the cockroach. I’ve made fun of them on a bunch of tweets and on Facebook over the course of five years, and maybe I got under their skin,” said the 36-year-old.

“I have a pretty successful TV show. I’m pretty successful in the UFC. I’m a pretty good sniper, and they don’t like those things.”

The threats were serious enough that the FBI contacted Kennedy to inform him of the situation.

“They [FBI] called me. They were making sure I was aware of the gravity of who was making these threats,” he said. “This isn’t anything new. This has been eight or ten years that this has been going on. I’ve taken the appropriate precautions to ensure that we’re safe.”

Kennedy isn’t your typical terrorist target. He’s not an unsuspecting civilian. The recent threats have had no affect on the decorated soldier’s personal life.

“I’m not going to go into the situation I have security-wise. They don’t go after hard targets. I’m a hard target. My house, everything about my life is a hard target. I’m a Green Beret. I’m a sniper. I’m a Ranger. I’m a killer. I’m a UFC fighter. My family is well protected, so nothing is going to change.”
