MMAWeekly.com was on location at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Az., for WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis, the final event in World Extreme Cagefighting history.

Anthony Pettis overcame Ben Henderson to become the final WEC lightweight champion and earned a shot at the winner of UFC 125's showdown between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard. Dominick Cruz defended his WEC bantamweight title and became the UFC’s first bantamweight champion by besting Scott Jorgensen.
