Video: Rob Font calls out Sergio Pettis after UFC 175 KO of Roop

LAS VEGAS – Rob Font is still fresh off his first UFC victory, but that hasn’t prevented him from calling out his next opponent.

Font (11-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) needed a little more than two minutes to knock out George Roop (15-11-1 MMA, 5-7 UFC) at UFC 175. Minutes after his victory, he requested a future matchup with fellow bantamweight Sergio Pettis.

“Honestly I think Sergio Pettis would be an awesome fight,” Font told MMAjunkie. “If we can make that happen it would be great.”

Font has already fought three times so far in 2014. His victory over Roop was by far the most significant win of his career, and now he wants to keep the ball rolling.

The 26-year-old former Pizza Hut delivery driver has only been training MMA for a little more than six years, but now he’s in the UFC and is prepared to make an impact. He hopes to do that against the younger brother of reigning UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.
