Video: MMA manager Mike Kogan discusses his roster of ‘controversial’ fighters

MMA manager Mike Kogan said there’s a simple reason his roster of clients includes some of the sport’s more outspoken fighters.

In fact, some might call them controversial fighters, though Kogan doesn’t really see it that way, as he told MMAjunkie in a recent interview.

“It’s not just the controversial fighters; it’s just the guys who don’t mind being out in the open the way they are,” said Kogan, who represents the likes of Muhammed Lawal and Roy Nelson, as well as Nate Diaz, who headlines The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale on Saturday. ” … I seem to gravitate toward the guys that don’t want me to sugarcoat things, don’t want me to tell me things just to make them feel good about themselves.”
