On Saturday, the UFC returns to Toronto and a new interim featherweight champion will be crowned.
In the main event, Max Holloway (16-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) puts his nine-fight winning streak on the line against former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis (19-5 MMA, 6-4 UFC), who will be fighting at 145 pounds for just the second time. The winner will become the new interim featherweight champ and move on to a title unification fight against Jose Aldo, who was elevated from interim to full champ after Conor McGregor was stripped of his 145-pound title.
Ahead of UFC 206, UFC Fight Pass analyst Dan Hardy and broadcast partner John Gooden break down the headliner, as well as the key featherweight matchup between Dooho Choi (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Cub Swanson (23-7 MMA, 8-3 UFC), as part of the UFC’s “Inside the Octagon” preview series.
UFC 206 takes place Saturday at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
