Video: Even fellow fighters are geeked for Silva vs. Diaz at UFC 183

On Saturday, Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz will return from lengthy layoffs to the UFC’s octagon.

UFC 183’s headliner promises to show the fighter who’s still in step, and who’s lost his footing.

Several fighters from this past Saturday’s UFC on FOX 14 weighed in on the middleweight superfight, which takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. As you might expect, their picks were weighted toward one fighter.

Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC), who’s ranked No. 6 in USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie’s MMA middleweight rankings, could get a title shot at the middleweight title if he beats the unranked Diaz (26-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC), 31. The ex-longtime UFC champ and all-time great is a 4-1 favorite to come out ahead.
