While he’s usually fairly tightlipped with the U.S. media, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is more likely to open up in his native Brazil.
Check out the video above as Silva (33-5 MMA, 16-1 UFC) discusses his UFC 162 title loss to Chris Weidman (10-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) and the conspiracy cries that he threw the July 6 fight. Silva, in Portuguese, said he was embarrassed that the allegations might make his home country look bad.
The segment was part of Saturday’s edition of the “Legendários” talk show.
UFC President Dana White, of course, has already said he has little patience for the “f–ing idiots” who believe the fight was fixed, and he recently blasted “SI Now” for suggesting it was a possibility.
As for Silva, he’s got a chance to reclaim his belt from Weidman on Dec. 28 in UFC 168's pay-per-view headliner.
