The now-retired Chris Lytle did well on his bid to go out on a high note when he submitted Dan Hardy in their UFC on Versus 5 main event. The tough feeling of being away from family for training seemed to hit a high point prior to the fight and the 13-year veteran decided to call it quits, putting a close to an exciting career of more than a decade.
The ending seemed perfect, especially with Lytle’s opponent willing to trade with him for the duration of the fight. The fans in Milwaukee certainly got a treat with seeing Lytle put a close to his career with a guillotine choke, but it’s time for him to move on and start a career in politics.
MMAWeekly.com‘s Damon Martin caught up with an emotional Lytle after his fight and talked about his career, as well as how the win was something straight out of a movie script.
