Ben Henderson has been there, done that.
When he faced Anthony Pettis in their final WEC fight, the winner was expected to slot in and challenge right away for the UFC lightweight title. Henderson lost that fight.
Now he finds himself in a similar situation, but on the other side of the coin.
“The onus is on him. If he wins, he gets the title shot. If I win, I upset his title aspirations,” Henderson told MMAWeekly.com‘s Damon Martin on Friday.
Miller and Henderson square off in the co-main event of Sunday’s UFC on Versus 5.
Regardless of the pressure on Miller, Henderson knows that he’s in against one of the most dangerous opponents he’s ever faced, a fighter who, like himself, has a varied game and goes for the jugular.
