The lineup is set for December’s UFC on FOX 17 event, and with an abundance of notable names, all portions of the card are essentially must-watch TV.
UFC on FOX 17 takes place Dec. 19 at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
A title fight headlines the network-televised card as lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (24-7 MMA, 13-5 UFC), who’s ranked No. 1 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA lightweight rankings, looks for his first title defense when he takes on surging contender and No. 4-ranked Donald Cerrone (28-6 MMA, 15-3 UFC).
Rounding out the four-bout main card are former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos (17-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) vs. Alistair Overeem (39-14 MMA, 4-3 UFC), lightweights Michael Johnson (16-9 MMA, 8-5 UFC) vs. Nate Diaz (17-10 MMA, 12-8 UFC), and strawweights Karolina Kowalkiewicz (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Randa Markos (5-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC).
Closing out the FOX Sports 1-televised prelims is an intriguing featherweight bout between Myles Jury (15-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and Charles Oliveira (20-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC).
Additionally, with a deep lineup, some familiar names – three of whom have 12 or more career UFC fights – will be part of the five-bout UFC Fight Pass prelims. They include lightweights Nik Lentz (20-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) vs. Danny Castillo (17-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC) and featherweights Jim Alers (13-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) vs. Cole Miller (21-9 MMA, 10-7 UFC).
