Weigh-ins for this month’s UFC on FOX 11 event take place Friday, April 18 at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.
The same venue then hosts the following night’s event, which features heavyweights Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum in a fight that is expected to determine the next challenger for Cain Velasquez’s title.
Additionally, the co-feature sees former Strikeforce women’s champ and two-time UFC title challenger Miesha Tate battle recent title challenger Liz Carmouche. Plus, Donald Cerrone takes on Edson Barboza in a lightweight fight.
Along with the official weigh-in event, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will host a Q&A session for UFC Fight Club members prior to the scale proceedings.
Edgar coaches opposite fellow former champ B.J. Penn on the upcoming 19th season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” which debuts two nights earlier on April 16 on FOX Sports 1. Edgar and Penn then will meet at the TUF 19 Finale on July 6 in Las Vegas.
Doors to the festivities open to members of the UFC Fight Club, the promotion’s official fan club, at 1 p.m. ET local time. Edgar takes the stage for the Q&A at 2 p.m. ET.
The public is also invited to the weigh-in ceremony. Doors open to the public at 3 p.m. ET, and the first fighter steps on the scale at 4 p.m. ET.
As usual, MMAjunkie will be on scene with complete UFC on FOX 11 coverage. We’ll also provide a live stream of the fighter weigh-ins.
