UFC champ Ronda Rousey doused with ice water, invites Gina Carano to do same

Want to see UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey get doused with a huge bucket of ice water?

While recently at the FOX Sports studios in Los Angeles, a nicely dressed Rousey voluntarily got an ice bath in front of the cameras, though it was for a good cause.

By now, you’ve probably heard of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. In a nutshell, if challenged, you either dump a bucket of icy water on yourself, or you make a donation to the ALS Association, which, according to the nonprofit organization, fights to treat and cure Lou Gehrig’s Disease through global research and nationwide advocacy.

The challenge has become a bit of a viral sensation. Rousey, in fact, can thank UFC President Dana White for her challenge (via Instagram):

Before her ice bath, Rousey (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who awaits her next fight, called out three notables of her own for the challenge: “Expendables 3? costar Sylvester Stallone, “Fast & Furious 7? costar Dwayne Johnson, and potential opponent/fellow thespian Gina Carano, who’s rumored to be chatting with both the UFC and Bellator MMA about a possible return to the cage.

(Unlike Rousey and White, perhaps they’ll simply write a check instead.)

You can learn more about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge or make a donation at www.alsa.org.
