How good is next month’s UFC 182 headliner? Let the participants persuade you with their resumes.
Let’s face it: UFC 182 will be one of the biggest events in recent MMA history when UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC) finally meets Daniel Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC). Their long-simmering rivalry, detailed in all its awesomeness above, comes to a head at UFC 182 on Jan. 3.
Ahead of the pay-per-view fight, which takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, Cormier responded to a recent Jones’ tweet with a battle of resumes and hashtags:
Jones and Cormier are respectively ranked No. 1 and No. 3 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA light heavyweight rankings. At UFC 182, Jones looks for his record eighth straight title defense while Cormier, a two-time Olympian, looks for his 16th straight MMA victory.
