UFC Fight Night 76 bonuses: Did any Irish fighters take home $50,000 awards?

DUBLIN – Neil Seery, Tom Breese, Darren Till and Nicholas Dalby each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 76 event.

Till and Dalby earned the “Fight of the Night,” while Seery and Breese each won “Performance of the Night” honors.

UFC officials announced the winners at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended.

To open up the main card, Dublin’s Seery (16-11 MMA, 3-2 UFC) got the crowd to erupt when he tapped out Jon Delos Reyes (8-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) with a second-round guillotine choke. “Two Tap” went after the choke earlier in the fight, but couldn’t get it. But when Delos Reyes went after a big slam, Seery took advantage and latched on to the choke to get the tap.

On the preliminary card, Breese (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) stunned the Irish crowd by taking out one of Dublin’s own, Conor McGregor teammate Cathal Pendred (17-4-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC), with a first-round TKO to remain unbeaten in his pro career.

Till (13-0-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) and Dalby (14-0-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) battled for 15 minutes in a fight that appeared to be going Till’s way after 10 minutes. But Dalby put on a major third-round rally, nearly finishing Till. And the two 10-8 rounds he got from judges in that third frame were enough to turn two would-be losing scorecards into 28-28 draws. (A third judge saw the fight 29-28 for Till.)
