UFC Fight Night 31 live and official weigh-in results

FORT CAMPBELL – The UFC Fight Night 31 weigh-ins are in the books, and all 26 fighters on Wednesday’s card successfully made weight.

The weigh-ins took place at Sabre Air Field at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, the military base that hosts Wednesday’s “Fight for the Troops 3? card.

In the main event, middleweights Tim Kennedy and Rafael Natal square off. Natal took the fight on late notice after Lyoto Machida was pulled to fight at UFC Fight Night 30. He came in at 185.5 pounds, while Kennedy, who as a 10-year member of the military, will be the heavy fan favorite on site, was 186.

In the co-main event, Marine Liz Carmouche, trying to win two straight since a title-fight loss to Ronda Rousey in February, was 135 for her fight against Canada’s Alexis Davis, who was 134. Carmouche served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In a lightweight battle of “Ultimate Fighter” winners, both Colton Smith and Michael Chiesa were on target for their bout to open the main card. Smith (Season 16), an active-duty soldier, was 155.5, while Chiesa (Season 15) was 156.

Former Strikeforce lightweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal was on the mark at 155.5 pounds for his fight against Rustam Khabilov, who was 155. The two then engaged in the day’s most heated face-off.

Ronny Markes, fighting for the first time since a day-of-weigh-ins car accident earlier this year took him out of a fight in Brazil, was 185.5 pounds for his fight against Yoel Romero, who was the same.
