It’s fight week again for the UFC, and this week, we’re treated to two shows, including Wednesday’s “UFC Fight Night 27: Kampmann vs. Condit II” event.
Here’s the essential information for the mid-week show.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 27 START TIME: Ahead of Saturday’s UFC 164 pay-per-view offering, UFC Fight Night 27 (previously UFC on FOX Sports 1 2) takes place Wednesday at Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The night kicks off with Facebook prelims at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) and then FOX Sports 2 prelims at 6 p.m. ET. The action then shifts to FOX Sports 1 for the main card at 8 p.m. ET.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 27 BACKGROUND: After an immensely successful debut on the FOX Sports 1 channel on Aug. 17, the UFC looks to continue the momentum. While Wednesday’s lineup doesn’t have the depth of its predecessor, a solid main card includes an intriguing rematch between welterweight contenders Martin Kampmann (20-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) and Carlos Condit (28-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC). Kampmann won the first meeting via close split decision in 2009 (watch the full fight), but both now look to rebound from losses to top contender Johny Hedricks in their five-round rematch. Condit is ranked No. 4 and Kampmann is No. 9 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA welterweight rankings.
