UFC Fight Night 100 results: Gadzhimurad Antigulov scores 67-second submission of Marcos Rogerio de Lima

SAO PAULO – Gadzhimurad Antigulov took only 67 seconds to prove he is a force to be reckoned with in the 205-pound division, tapping out Marcos Rogerio de Lima with a guillotine choke.

The light heavyweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 100 event at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. It aired on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Antigulov (19-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC) felt the power of de Lima (14-4-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) early, but wasted very little time adjusting his gameplan. The Dagestani fighter quickly secured a takedown, and once the fight hit the ground, it was all over.

Antigulov attempted to pass de Lima’s guard but the Brazilian saw an opportunity for a sweep. Instead of escaping to his feet, however, Antigulov locked in a guillotine choke and squeezed for the tap at the 1:07 mark of Round 1.

The quick finish was an impressive way for Antigulov to make his octagon debut. He is now riding a 13-fight winning streak and has finished five consecutive opponents.
