UFC 138 Fight Card Update: Vaughn Lee Draws Chris Cariaso for Octagon Debut

The UFC on Wednesday announced the signing of British bantamweight Vaughan Lee for its upcoming UFC 138: Leben vs. Munoz fight card on Nov. 5 in Birmingham, England. On Thursday, the promotion revealed via its UK Twitter account that Lee will face Chris Cariaso in his Octagon debut.

Lee (11-6-1) has been fighting professionally for more than eight years. Of his 11 wins, he has finished 10 of them. Going 4-0-1 in his past five fights, he counts current UFC fighter Brad Pickett and UFC veteran David Lee amongst those that were able to defeat him.

Cariaso (11-3) has spent his last four bouts fighting for Zuffa, two fights each in the WEC and UFC going 2-2. He is presently coming off of split decision loss to rising talent Michael McDonald at UFC 130 in May.

The two will likely fight on the preliminary portion of the card, warming fans up for a main event featuring Chris Leben vs. Mark Munoz in the UFC’s first five-round non-title bout.
