The Vancouver Athletic Commission on Friday released the UFC 131: dos Santos vs. Carwin fighter salary information.

Junior dos Santos was originally slated to face fellow “Ultimate Fighter Season 13” coach Brock Lesnar in the UFC 131 main event in Vancouver, but plans changed when Lesnar had to drop out due to a recent bout with diverticulitis. Carwin stepped in, but it was dos Santos that bloodied Carwin en route to a unanimous decision victory. The Brazilian kept his number-one contender status intact and will likely face UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 138 in November.

UFC 131: dos Santos vs. Carwin took place Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners’ bonuses.

Although mixed martial arts fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters’ salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (specifically, pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses, etc.), are not included in the figures below.
