UFC 128 Video: Eliot Marshall Not Afraid of the Dark Anymore

Grudge Training Center fighter Eliot Marshall relishes being a UFC fighter. And why wouldn’t he, the UFC is regarded as the pinnacle of the sport.

Emerging from the eighth season of the promotion’s popular reality series, “The Ultimate Fighter,” Marshall constantly fought with the fear of being cut from the UFC roster in the back of his mind. He likened it to being afraid of the dark as a small child.

After losing a lackluster split decision to Vladimir Matyushenko a year ago, Marshall’s nightmare became reality. He was unceremoniously dropped.

Marshall has since won three straight fights outside the Octagon, the last of which put him in position to step in for an injured Karlos Vemola. He will square off with Luiz Cane on a Spike TV aired preliminary bout next week at UFC 128.

Now that he’s gotten the call back to the big show, Marshall doesn’t intend on ever fighting anywhere else, ever again…
