Twitter reacts to Demetrious Johnson’s KO of Joseph Benavidez

The outcome may not have come as a surprise, but the method probably did: UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (19-2-1 MMA, 7-1-1 UFC) successfully defended his belt for the third time with a highlight-heel knockout of Joseph Benavidez (19-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC on FOX 9 main event.

The bout, which took place at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, was a rematch of the UFC’s inaugural 125-pound title match at UFC 152.

Johnson took the gold by narrow split decision in the initial meeting, but in the rematch, “Mighty Mouse” left no doubt as to who’s the superior fighter as he turned out his foe’s lights with one perfectly placed right hand.
