A change has been made to the UFC on Fox 3 card as Ultimate Fighter 14 winner John Dodson now faces newcomer Tim Elliott.
Sources close to the match-up confirmed the new bout to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday.
Dodson was originally set to face ground ace Darren Uyenoyama, but it appears injury has sidelined the California based fighter, and he will have to wait for his next appearance in the Octagon until later in 2012.
Tim Elliott comes to the UFC with an 8-2-1 record overall with all eight wins coming in a consecutive streak recently.
Elliott’s biggest accomplishment in MMA came two fights ago when he knocked out former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver at Resurrection Fight Alliance in Dec 2011.
Now he steps in to face former Ultimate Fighter winner and highly regarded flyweight John Dodson at the UFC on Fox 3 card on May 5 in East Rutherford, NJ.
