Tim Boetsch returns to Denver this September to take on Nick Ring in a middleweight bout on the UFC 135 fight card.
UFC officials announced the new bout on Tuesday.
This will be a chance at redemption for Boetsch in the Mile High City after he suffered a loss to Matt Hamill there in 2008. Following the fight, Boetsch admits the altitude zapped his cardio, and left him with little gas in the tank.
Now a middleweight, Boetsch will try to duplicate the success he had in his last fight against Kendall Grove and make it 2 for 2 at 185lbs.
Looking to improve his UFC record to 3-0 will be former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ competitor Nick Ring.
After suffering an injury that kept him from attempting to finish his season of the reality show, Ring battled back and has gone 2-0 since getting another shot in the Octagon.
Most recently, Ring submitted UFC newcomer James Head by rear naked choke at UFC 131.
The bout between Boetsch and Ring is part of the preliminary card for UFC 135 set to go down in Denver in September.
