A new featherweight bout has been added to the growing UFC 136 card in Houston with China’s own Tiequan Zhang taking on Darren Elkins.
The bout was announced by UFC officials on Thursday.
Making his UFC debut back in February, Tiequan Zhang made short work of veteran fighter Jason Reinhardt, submitting the Team Wand fighter in less than a minute.
The win moved Zhang to 2-1 since coming to Zuffa in 2010.
Facing Zhang in Houston will be wrestler Darren Elkins making his 2nd appearance the 145lb division.
Elkins made a successful debut, albeit with some controversy, after he defeated Michihiro Omigawa in a very close and tough decision.
Elkins will try to make a more convincing statement in his 2nd trip to featherweight when he faces Zhang in October.
