Saul Rogers among recent Cage Warriors signings to exclusive deals

saul-rogers.jpgCage Warriors Fighting Championship continues to bolster its roster with the signings of six more fighters to exclusive deals.

Promotion officials recently announced new contracts for Arnold Allen, Sean Carter, Fabio Ferrari, Danny Lawson, Paddy Pimblett and Saul Rogers. The deals will have the fighters competing exclusively for Cage Warriors for their next five fights.

“I’m very happy with this latest batch of signings,” Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan stated. “They’re six guys with excellent records and their best years still ahead of them. I look forward to seeing them develop with Cage Warriors.”

Allen (4-0), a 19-year-old featherweight, stayed unbeaten for his young career at Cage Warriors 56 in July when he submitted Andy Green in the first round. It was the first submission win of his career.

Carter (6-0) is now 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner after a submission win over Adam Boussif at Cage Warriors 56. The welterweight now has four of his six wins by submission.

Ferrari (6-2-1), a native of Brazil, submitted Brett Sizeland with a rear-naked choke with just 12 seconds left in the first round at Cage Warriors 56. That got him back in the win column after a May decision loss.

Lawson (8-3), a 24-year-old featherweight, signs on the strength of a six-fight win streak, including five stoppages. Earlier this year, he stopped Mike Wood in the first round under the Ultimate Challenge MMA banner in England.

Pimblett (4-0), an 18-year-old bantamweight, stopped the first three opponents of his career in the first round before making his promotional debut at Cage Warriors 56, where he picked up a unanimous decision win over Florian Calin on a turnaround of just five weeks from his previous fight.

Rogers (7-1) made his promotional debut at Cage Warriors 57 in Liverpool in July and picked up a first-round submission win over Jason Cooledge. The lightweight no doubt hopes that started him on a new streak after starting his career 6-0 with five submissions.

“I’m delighted to have signed with Cage Warriors and I really appreciate the opportunity I’ve been given,” Rogers stated. “I’m stoked about the whole thing. I couldn’t be happier. Neither Cage Warriors nor MMA fans will ever be disappointed by my performances. I can promise that all my fights will be well worth watching.”

The six fighters are expected to be placed on Cage Warriors’ upcoming cards. The promotion returns later this month for Cage Warriors 58 in Chechnya, returns to Wales in September, London and Bahrain in October and Dagestan in November.
