November’s UFC Fight Night 57 lineup in Texas has two new additions.
They include heavyweights Ruslan Magomedov (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Josh Copeland (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and featherweights Dooho Choi (11-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Juan Puig (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC), officials recently announced.
UFC Fight Night 57 takes place Nov. 22 at Frank Erwin Center on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin. The event is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 with prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Magomedov is a 27-year-old Russian who recently earned a decision victory over Viktor Pesta in his UFC debut to run his current winning streak to seven fights. After six decisions in those seven wins, he now takes on Copeland, a 31-year-old Coloradoan who recently earned a TKO victory over Jan Jorgensen at RFA 16 to earn a UFC contract. He now has seven stoppages in his nine career wins.
Meanwhile, Choi, a 23-year-old South Korean, makes his UFC debut after competing primary in DEEP, where he’s built his current nine-fight winning streak, which includes five straight knockout victories. He meets Puig, a 25-year-old Mexican fighter and Jungle Fight vet who recently made his UFC debut and suffered a knockout loss to Adriano Martins. It halted his six-fight winning streak.
