UFC officials announced on Thursday that the two 135-pound fighters will enter the Octagon on Sept. 13 in Brasilia, Brazil.
UFC Fight Night "Bigfoot vs. Arlovski" is headlined by a rematch between the returning Antonio Silva and World Series of Fighting alum Andrei Arlovski. The event takes place at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium.
Following an accidental clash of heads at UFC Fight Night “Minotauro vs. Nelson” that led to a no contest, both men were re-booked to square off at UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens” in June. But the injury bug struck Yahya, and Cody Gibson stepped in on short notice to fill the void.
Bedford eventually lost to Gibson via controversial first-round technical knockout, capping off a disappointing three-fight sequence. A defeat by guillotine submission to Bryan Caraway at UFC 159 began the run.
Yahya will look to win his first fight since besting Josh Clopton via unanimous decision at UFC 163. Following the victory, the Brazilian dropped a split decision to Tom Niinimaki before his initial pairing with Bedford.
