ONE Championship Heading to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta | MMAWeekly.com

One Championship, having finished the year with last Friday night’s card at the MOA Arena in Manila, announced its first two events of 2017. On Jan. 14 there will be a show in Jakarta and on Feb. 10 the organization will be returning to Kuala Lumpur.

These two dates were announced during the ONE: Age of Domination live broadcast. After the event, journalists in Manila were also informed that the promotion’s next show in the Philippines would be taking place on April 21, 2017.

In total there were 16 ONE Championship cards in 2016, including two events which took place behind closed doors. There would have been 17, but the Bangkok event scheduled for later this month had to be pushed back following the death of the King of Thailand.

The show in Jakarta will be the 50th official event that ONE Championship has promoted. Since its formation in 2011, the Singapore headquartered organization has held shows in 12 different cities across ten separate Asian countries.
