Myles Jury, Mike Ricci Booked for Lightweight Tilt at UFC 165 in Toronto

Two veterans of “The Ultimate Fighter” will meet in Toronto this September, as the UFC announced Monday that lightweights Myles Jury and Mike Ricci are set to square off at UFC 165.

The UFC’s third visit to Air Canada Centre takes place Sept. 21 and is headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between reigning champ Jon Jones and once-beaten Swede Alexander Gustafsson.

Jury, 24, will face his third consecutive “TUF” finalist, having previously outpointed Michael Johnson in December before knocking out Ramsey Nijem on April 20. The Michigan native, who appeared on seasons 13 and 15 of the reality show, has yet to be defeated in 12 professional fights and is 3-0 in official UFC appearances.

The runner-up of last year’s “TUF 16,” 27-year-old Ricci comes off a March decision win over Colin Fletcher at UFC 158. A training partner of top-10 welterweight Rory MacDonald at Montreal’s Tristar Gym, Ricci has alternated wins and losses in his last six bouts.
