A middleweight bout between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Tim Stout at Strikeforce “Nashville” on April 17 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., will air “in some form” on CBS, said the promotion’s CEO Scott Coker on Tuesday.

The preliminary bout, which was added to the roster on Monday, isn’t scheduled to air live during CBS’s broadcast. The network telecast will instead include three championship bouts, all with the potential to run 25 minutes each.

“That fight will air in some form -- whether it’s a highlight package or in its entirety will be based upon the timing of the others fights,” said Coker during a conference call touting the April 17 fight. “The idea is to come out and do a fight or two and see how much time is left.”

An insider told Sherdog.com on Monday that CBS is planning an assortment of highlight packages for the bout ranging from one minute and up, and will place whichever variation fits the broadcast between the championship bouts.

Miller, whose outspokenness and showmanship in and out of the cage have made him a popular figure in the sport, lost a unanimous decision to Jake Shields at Strikeforce “Fedor vs. Rogers” on Nov. 7 in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The 29-year-old fighter is a former Icon Sport middleweight champion with key victories over Robbie Lawler and Tim Kennedy.

Miller is also preparing to tape his third season as a host of “Bully Beatdown,” which airs on MTV.

Strikeforce “Nashville” airs on CBS’s “Saturday Night Fights” on April 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
