The American Kickboxing Academy standout drew $270,000 for his title-winning performance. Included in that sum were $100,000 win and $70,000 “Knockout of the Night” bonuses. All figures were released on Tuesday by the California State Athletic Commission.
Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields was awarded $150,000 in his hard-fought split decision victory over game Dane Martin Kampmann, who was awarded $27,000 in defeat.
