Kyle Noke vs. Keita Nakamura slated for UFC Fight Night 91 in South Dakota

A welterweight bout between Kyle Noke (22-8-1 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Keita Nakamura (31-7-2 MMA, 1-4 UFC) is the latest addition to this summer’s UFC Fight Night 91 lineup.

UFC officials today announced the bout.

UFC Fight Night 91 takes place July 13 at Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The event airs on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Noke, a 36-year-old Australian who also coached “The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia” in 2014, made his way to the UFC in 2010 as a “TUF 10” quarterfinalist. He was recently on a 3-1 run that included a “Performance of the Night” TKO victory over Peter Sobotta before a split-decision defeat to Alex Morono in January (every media outlet tracked by MMADecisions.com scored the fight for Noke).

He now meets fellow vet Nakamura, a 31-year-old Japanese fighter who’s 1-1 in his fourth and most recent UFC stint. He returned to the organization in September and picked up a “Performance of the Night” bonus with his submission victory over Li Jingliang, and it pushed his overall winning streak to five fights. However, in his most recent bout, the former Deep and World Victory Road champ suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Tom Breese.

The latest UFC Fight Night 91 card now includes:

  • Tim Boetsch vs. Josh Samman
  • Scott Holtzman vs. Cody Pfister
  • Keita Nakamura vs. Kyle Noke
