Lightweights Joe Proctor (9-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Justin Salas (12-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) have been booked for a fight at UFC Fight Night 45.
UFC officials today announced the bout.
UFC Fight Night 45 takes place July 16 at Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. Main-card fights air live on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Proctor vs. Salas is likely to be part of the prelims.
Proctor recently rebounded from a decision loss to Ramsey Nijem (his first defeat in the UFC) with a decision victory over Cristiano Marcello at UFC Fight Night 36 in February. The 28-year-old, who was a quarterfinalist on “The Ultimate Fighter 15,” is now 5-1 in his past six fights, which included winning a Reality Fighting title in 2011.
Salas, meanwhile, looks for his first back-to-back wins in the UFC after going 3-2 in his first five appearances. Most recently, the 32-year-old rebounded from a submission loss to Thiago Tavares with a first-round knockout of Ben Wall at UFC Fight Night 40 earlier this month.
